Our Catalyzing Technology
AOTech™ is most easily explained as a supercharger, catalyzing oxidation reaction. VIYA’s proprietary activators are introduced together with a hydrogen peroxide solution to generate free radicals that destroy contaminants quickly and efficiently. The process creates no harmful reaction byproducts and actively aids biological treatment in wastewater treatment systems.
Why is it Unique?
AOTech catalysts eliminate sulfide in stressed aeration basins without the addition of hydrogen peroxide or other strong oxidizers. Our non-hazardous, biodegradable activators interact with the oxygen already introduced by aerators to rapidly oxidize existing sulfide treating it before it is released in the turbulence of the aeration basin.

Application
Fast Oxidation for Odor and Corrosion Control
AOTech is applied directly into wastewater and industrial process streams – most commonly ahead of aeration basins – where its activators react with available oxygen to rapidly oxidize sulfides and other odor-and corrosion-causing compounds before they off-gas.
Because AOTech generates free radicals without relying on strong oxidizers or specialized dosing equipment, it integrates easily into existing treatment infrastructure. VIYA has applied AOTech to eliminate sulfide, thiol, and organic acid odors in industrial condensate and effluent systems, improving sulfide reduction performance even within short retention windows.
