Formed through a new alliance between McMillan-McGee (“Mc²”) and ORIN Technologies, VIYA Environmental combines science-backed remediation expertise with field-led innovation. Connect with our team, attend our presentations, and discover a whole new suite of advanced chlorinated contaminant solutions.
Our team shares field experience and technical insight through presentations on large-scale remediation projects, real-world outcomes, and evolving approaches.
PRESENTATION
This presentation highlights how ET-DSP™ technology was scaled to remediate a massive, complex fuel site in San Pedro. It explores key challenges, design adaptations, and how lessons learned across phases led to highly efficient, large-scale contaminant recovery.
PRESENTATION
This presentation looks beyond traditional cleanup metrics to evaluate how in situ thermal remediation delivers long-term environmental and social value. Using a redeveloped site in Calgary, it explores how early remediation decisions can influence sustainability, emissions, and site use decades later. Attendees will see how ESG-based analysis offers a more complete picture of remediation success.
POSTER
This poster breaks down what makes ERH projects succeed in the field, not just in theory. Drawing from real-world case studies, it highlights practical design, testing, and operational strategies that improve heating performance, safety, and reliability. Attendees will walk away with actionable lessons to avoid common pitfalls and optimize ERH projects from start to finish.
POSTER
This poster explores how to choose the most cost-effective vapor treatment technology for thermal remediation sites. It introduces a practical decision framework that compares options based on contaminant mass, site conditions, and regulatory needs. Attendees will learn how to anticipate cost and performance trade-offs to select the right solution with confidence.
POSTER
This poster explores how targeted laboratory testing can reduce uncertainty and improve the design of in situ thermal remediation (ISTR) projects. It highlights which tests provide the most value, how to interpret their results, and how they translate to real-world performance. Attendees will gain practical insight into using lab data to build more reliable and predictable remediation strategies.
POSTER
This poster explores how extreme acidity and chlorinated contamination can challenge thermal remediation design—and how to overcome it. Through bench-scale testing and real-world application, it highlights strategies for managing low pH, material compatibility, and system performance. Attendees will gain practical insights into adapting thermal technologies for harsh and unconventional site conditions.
